Once a man who defended the weak and broken, now forsaking the world of mortals to become a protector of the Twelveswood

About

  • The conjurers teach us that elementals of the Twelveswood are not instruments of war, and no attempt shall be made to use them as such against the Empire.

  • Lower your weapons. We will shed no blood here. The eyes of the Wood are upon us.

  • Belief will not serve you in the forest. You must know that the elementals exist, as you know you yourself do.

  • It’s not our place to kill as we see fit, as Eorzeans elsewhere do. Doing so only angers the elementals, and brings the greenwrath on us all.

  • Just you remember this - the reward for impudence is exile, and that’s if you’re lucky. Others are claimed by the wood, turned into wildlings - a far grimmer fate.

Wood's Will Be Done
A Wildling is a person taken by the Wood and enthralled by the elementals. This seemingly occurs only when a person awakens the Greenwrath by committing an act so dangerous or damnable that it forces a Great One to manifest to deal with the threat directly.

Put your ear to the Twelveswood

This authority belongs only to the elementals, eternal guardians of the Twelveswood. All outsiders, be they babes at the breast or men grown, are judged of a night whether they may have a place beneath the boughs.

  • The elementals might judge them worthy of living in the Twelveswood.

  • Their decision cannot be appealed.

  • Every one of us, Gridanians included, dwell here only by the elementals’ leave.

  • They suffer none who disregard their laws. Theirs is a swift and brutal justice.

Impurity’s as bad as a curse, I tell ye. Gotta get all them dirty deeds off yer back, else the elementals’ll get ye. I didn’t believe it, neither—till some of me own mates were taken right before me eyes. Poor bastards.
